Get a kick start in the programming and prototyping world with Zero Ohm's Raspberry Pi Workshop, a unique opportunity to get started with the best Single Board Computer (SBC) today in a series of interactive tasks designed to build your basics and set you on a path of Invention. The Workshop provide with a chance to start and familiarize your self with Raspberry Pi 3 by building and Testing 12 circuits that will read sensors, control lights and motors, display information on a screens and more. In addition you'll get to know the the Debian-based Operating System for Rasbperry Pi and How you can install libraries and packages to help you with your programming.

Level 1: Get Started with Raspberry Pi

Date & Time: Saturday, 8 July 2017 at 02:00 PM – 04:30 PM

Location: Origin Base HQ (location map)

Objectives and Workshop Sequence:

  1. An introduction about Raspberry Pi, followed by a brief explanation of what we’ll be doing in the workshop.
  2. An explanation about the first task, which is going to be turning an LED on and off. The audience will have enough time to demonstrate it by themselves.
  3. In the second task, the audience will learn about push buttons, and their function. They will add a push button to their previous build circuit, and control the LED by clicking the push button.
  4. In the third task, the audience will learn about buzzereds. They build and control a buzzer circuit with the Raspberry Pi.
  5. In the last part of the workshop, the audience will learn about RGB LED and it’s function, then they will connect their circuits and change the lights color.

What you need to bring to the workshop is:

  1. Your personal Laptop and charger.
  2. Other required items will be provide by Zero Ohm during the workshop.
  3. Download and install the Putty Software from http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/latest.html
  4. Download and install the VNC Viewer Software from http://www.realvnc.com/download/viewer/

This workshop does not require previous knowledge of electronics. The workshop will be conducted by experts that have years of experience in electronics and prototyping.
